Disabled Access

All venues provide disabled access. Details for individual venues below:

Delph	Usually about three spaces reserved for disabled access, just a few yards away from the arena . However this would entail a fairly early arrival, but if necessary the contest could be seen and heard from the car. There are disabled toilets in the Methodist Hall adjacent to where the contest is held and the ladies of the church kindly allow spectators with a disability to use their facilities. There is also tea, coffee, sandwiches, home made cakes etc served in the hall throughout the evening. Alcoholic refreshment can be obtained from the Delph Club on the other side of the street. The disabled area can be accessed from Church Street so there isn't a problem dropping off.
Denshaw	No information
Dobcross	We have disabled parking at the new vicarage on Woods Lane. The vicarage is about half-way up Woods lane on the right. There is still a good 50 to 100 yards up-hill walk to Church Fields, but it is the nearest flat parking that we can obtain.
Friezland	Friezland contest has wheel-chair access with a 20 yd drop-off point. There is a disabled toilet on-site plus on-site refreshments.
Greenfield	Wheelchair access to the field is no problem. There is reserved disabled parking at Scotts car-park, which is 200 yds from the field. If you need to drop-off on the field, then get there early and ask any of the stewards.
Greenacres	Easy access. A couple of disabled parking spaces are reserved.
Grotton	Grotton Contest has good access to facilities. Volunteers will assist if necessary.
Lees	There is a reserved disabled car-parking space in the library car-park, which is immediately adjacent to the bandstand. Local pubs have disabled toilets.
Lydgate	Anyone arriving by car with a disabled badge or with a disabled person in the car will be allowed onto the White Hart carpark and allowed to park. There are two ground floor disabled toilets suitable for wheelchair users.
Roundthorn	No information
Scouthead	The main site is an open field but there are no problems with wheelchair access.
Uppermill	The Uppermill contest is held on the King George V Playing Field and you can bring your own chairs to sit by the arena. The public conveniences are also in the park and easy to access. If you come ealy enough you may be able to bring your car down to the field - but you would have to park it elsewhere. Car Parks and on street parking available.
